Hi there folks, a quick little blog post today. Today I want to explain to you exactly what the Amazon Prime program really is. I have talked about this program before on Financial Highway and readers have emailed me asking: “Is Amazon Prime Worth It?”

Well.. it has a lot of potential to save you money when shopping online, that is true, but it is not for everyone!

See the what people are saying about Amazon Prime below

In this very brief article I’m going to walk you through the advantages of the Amazon Prime Program so you can decide if it is for you or not.

Is Amazon Prime Worth It?

Is Amazon Prime Worth It?

Amazon Prime is a sort of a “members club” for regular Amazon customers. If you don’t shop from Amazon, I suggest you start as the prices on there are some of the best you can find online and offline.

How Much Is Amazon Prime?

This program costs just $79 dollars a year, but you can get a free 30 day trial from here, just to see if the program is right for you. You might consider it an extra expense but here is what you get from your subscription:

What Do You Get From Prime?

For just $79, you can take advantage of:

  • 40,000 movies and TV episodes titles to watch
  • Borrow books for your Kindle from the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library
  • FREE two-day express shipping with no minimum order size

Not a big list but a very good deal nonetheless for $79 a year, it works out to just $0.21c a day!!! The 40,000 movies is already worth the price but with the free shipping it just blows this deal out of the park.

And if you’re a regular customer, you know how much shipping can increase the checkout! :/ So how about free 2 day shipping?

Is Amazon Prime for Everyone?

No. Really.. if you are not a regular Amazon shopper and don’t own a Kindle, this deal is not for you. If you only shop one to five times a year from Amazon, the free shipping deal won’t really be any good to you financially. Also if you don not have a Kindle, you can not borrow the books. 🙁

If you’re looking to buy a Kindle, check out the latest model, it has flying customer reviews!

In a Nutshell..

If you’re a regular Amazon customer: Try the free trial of Prime.

If not, save the money or spend it, Prime is not for you.

So that is it folks, I hope I helped you understand what Amazon Prime is all about!

Equipped with this “knowledge”, you can now make an informed decision of whether Amazon Prime is worth it or not.

As I said it is not for everyone but if you are a regular shopper or have a kindle, it really is a bargain for that price!

Thank you for reading, it was a pleasure having you here.
